Re: Water Ski Racing's Best use HySpeedKote

Thank you for all the information you have supplied us about Hyspeedkote, as well as giving us some HySpeedKote to try. We wonder how we have lived without it. You have a product that meets and exceeds all expectations and we thank you for giving us that extra "edge" we all look for in racing.

Here's a little information about us. We are "Team Devil's Advocate" and the 1998 U.S. National Champions in Open Jet (a boat class) in circle racing. We are also Hi-Points Champion for the marathon races (which are from 50 to 75 miles long). The circle racing is more "high-speed sprint", while marathons are more "long-haul endurance". Despite the differences, the ski's friction with the water is tiring. Over time, high-speeds, or a combination of both, fatigue sets in on the skier and reduces his concentration and reflexes, making him more prone to "step-off" as we call falling. Here is where HySpeedKote comes in.

Your product, HySpeedKote, gives us a way to combat ski drag which ultimately reduces skier fatigue and allows the skier to remain stronger, longer. Ultimately, the skier who can maintain high speed and sharp reflexes to deal with the on-rushing and fluctuating water conditions will be the skier in the winner's circle. For Team Devil's Advocate, the skier is my father, E. Jay Gotfredson. In over the 40 races that I have driven for him, I have seen the most difference in his endurance and performance in the Catalina Ski Race, where he finished almost 20 minutes faster this year than last year! That may not sound like much but that race is 62 miles from Long Beach to Catalina and back, and HySpeedKote made the difference in the rough and turbulent waters. Hyspeedkote allowed him to ski faster and with less fatigue and cut down his time dramatically.

Additionally, we wanted to see if a world-class skier would benefit from Hyspeedkote. So, we gave the product to a friend of ours, Martie Wells. Martie is the 1999 U.S. World Team captain and its strongest men's skier. We felt that someone of his caliber would greatly appreciate the qualities HySpeedKote would give his ski. Martie applied Hyspeedkote to his ski and ran it on some training runs on the Colorado River near Parker, Arizona. The water conditions were less than ideal and he did not have a chance to run on calmer water and use a line tension scale but Martie is very sensitive to how his ski rides since he tests and tunes them himself. Upon his return from his training we talked to him and he was amazed that the ski seemed to be less draggy and when it got airborne it would land much softer and without jerking back. He was overall very happy with Hyspeedkote's effects on his ski and said he would continue using it. He did not understand the science behind the product but he clearly understood the real-world results! Martie was enthusiastic enough about Hyspeedkote's performance to apply it to all the skis he would be using in the Worlds in Spain in September. We look forward to hearing from Martie when he gets back about his race experience with Hyspeedkote.
