Tested: 3310 ZF with 454 Horizon twin engine 385 HP each, est wt. 15,000 pounds, V-bottom hull, approximately 100 gallons of fuel, 3 persons plus gear. Previously tested earlier in the month. Tested this time with new substance (Hyspeedkote™). Performance test was more accurate or more consistent in both directions North and South. Previously test mph was at least 3 1/2 miles per hour different. With new substance, test mph was not only greater but was also more consistent in either direction. Also it felt as though the boat floated smoother than normal. Time to plane was better and mid range felt smoother in seas that were less than perfect, 18 miles per hour winds and 2 1/2 to 3 foot chop. All around this could help in mpg and also work as an alternative to bottom paint nightmares. When using trim tabs, there is not a lost of speed as well as rpm's. It plows, but you don't feel it.
