Hyspeedkote® is a clear, hydrophilic polymer coating that molecularly bonds with water. It increases laminar flow by holding a thin layer of water on fiberglass, plastic, or wooden hulls, aluminum rudders, skegs, and paddles.

The result is dramatically reduced surface drag making your kayak easier to paddle and allowing you to use less energy to get from place to place

Additionally, experienced kayakers who can maintain a constant paddling rate over an extended period report a definite increase in speed.

The effects of hydrophilic polymers have been well documented over the years. Past formulations, however, have been water-soluble and were quickly washed away by water flowing past the hull. Hyspeedkote's water-insoluble, it will not wash away. It's also:

Easy to apply
Exceptionally durable - lasts up to two years
Environmentally friendly - non-toxic, non-ablative, does not emit CFC's.

It’s important not to confuse Hyspeedkote®  with waxes and sealants that some paddlers apply to enhance performance. Though such products promote a smooth shiny surface, they can actually be counterproductive. These coatings repel water and create a "dry" surface that only increases drag. Hyspeedkote reduces this friction, allowing your kayak to slice through the water much more effortlessly.

Hyspeedkote® is available in four, environmentally friendly, bladder filled spray cans that assure a steady flow and allow the product to be applied from any angle.
